from 3082 reviewsI have been doing this program I love Jim's follow along videos and podcast style knowledge sharing. This is great program to kickstart your neglected foot strength.
A little backstory before sharing my review of the TFC Guide Certification training in May 2026. After many years in nursing, my feet had become chronically injured and painful. I’m someone who believes in addressing root causes and building a strong foundation, and for years I was trying — often unsuccessfully — to piece together reliable information to heal my feet and the compensations throughout my kinetic chain.
I found TFC about four years into that search. Their balance assessment, Solemate kit, and step-by-step guidance were genuinely transformative for me. From the very beginning, I could feel my body adapting and strengthening from the feet up. It felt as though my brain was relearning and remapping movement in a more integrated way.
Because of this experience, I signed up for the TFC Guide Certification and flew across Canada to attend. Jim and Nick taught with both depth and generosity, weaving knowledge, wisdom, play, and genuine enjoyment into the training. I had so much fun learning & playing with everyone!
I am excited to contribute to building strength, play & community using the TFC materials :).
I am following the Foot Restoration Program as someone who has been active for decades, and as someone who has been a barefoot shoe convert for several years already... BUT also as someone who is who experiencing frequent up-chain niggles... knee soreness, calf tightness, a sense of ankle instability... some of it caused by light injuries I've not rehabilitated properly in the past. So, I'm motivated to really REbuild confidence in my feet, enhance my knowledge and understanding of how my feet function, and hopefully reduce future issues as I age and keep active.
I have been really pleased to learn more about foot function, and biomechanics, and it has been good to step back, slow down, go back to basics and step through this program as if I was not as active as I generally am, and to apply that knowledge to seeing how I actually run/squat/balance.
As an active 55 year old who has consciously worked on building strength and mobility for 30 years, this program has been very helpful in re-educating me, and improving my understanding of not just foot function, but of how this can improve overall functionality. It feels like I am on a clearer path to reducing the cycle of niggles I am experiencing as I get older.
I can imagine this program would be enormously beneficial to someone who has not moved as much as they would like to in recent years, and would help them rebuild their foundations and confidence in the body's capacities. From my experience, it can also offer value to someone who is already active, but would like to maintain or even improve functionality as they get older.
Awesome weekend with Nick and Jim. It was a fun course with these two and you take home a lot of underlying USEFUL information that isn't taught in schools where you pay thousands of dollars for information you may never apply.
I feel inspired and driven, and im excited for the next steps of my journey. 100% would recommend

I absolutely loved this workshop!
I learned a lot, and it was intellectually fulfilling.
I moved around a lot over the two days, and I’ve already noticed that my toes are starting to straighten out.
I need to connect with the instructors to support my learning, and both Jim and Nick contributed by being warm, smiling, and attentive.
Both instructors are excellent teachers.
Merci pour ces deux jours de plaisir!
Thank you for the two days of fun!
A fun filled weekend with like minded joyful happy people! Nick and Jim create and bring an amazing atmosphere of learning, acceptance of the wide variety of people. Looking forward to being part of this community 💕
I have been wearing orthotics for 20 years prescribed because of knee issues when running suggesting that it was due to over pronation. A year ago I had foot pain and plantar fasciitis despite the orthotics… I bought a sole mate and began to explore regaining foot strength and functional. I dipped in and out of the emails and YouTube videos and found that my feet were becoming more responsive when walking and running. In the past 4 weeks I embarked upon the foot restoration program and have been able to safely address stiffness and mobility in my toes and foot generally, my plantar fasciitis was already improving (time and patience) but my first steps in the morning are pain free - toe crunches and ankle circles before taking my first step. I am now excited to explore how much foot and ankle integrity can help with running, walking, balancing, lifting and getting up from the ground. Thank you … looking forward to the workshop in Brighton in June.
I'm on week 5 and I love how the course builds. I have big toe arthritis in one foot and tightness in the foot arch. This is making my toes feel less stiff.
I signed up for this program after I realised my feet needed some love and care. After an energetic dance frenzy at my 50th birthday party, my feet and ankles were incredible sore. I bought the Foot Restoration Program and am now into Week 4 of the program and loving it. I'm enjoying getting reconnected to my feet. I love the repetition of the exercises and am noticing the difference in how my feet feel and in my walking. Looking forward to completing the program.
Both the SoulMate and training video. The training is inclusive and although I am taking things slowly because of knee pain, my feet (always a problem) feel better after each session. I just have to keep at it.
So happy I started this program, from the first session there is so much practical info that can be implemented immediately. It’s fun and really encouraging! Thank you
Really love the foot restoration program. Jim explains things in a really clear and simple format. The online platform is great as well. I have some big toe pain and walking was difficult. I have been doing this course for 4 weeks now. I def feel like this course is making a difference.
Even though I have been wearing barefoot shoes for a couple of near now, I wasn't sure how much of a difference this training would actually make, but after just 5 and 1/2 weeks of 20 mins a day, I have already noticed such a difference. My feet already feel stronger and more flexible. Can't wait for the next 7 weeks
I’ve been doing the foot restoration program for the past five weeks and love how easy it is to follow along for each session – no thinking or planning required! I’ve been wearing minimal shoes for 18 months and done some foot collective training before … this is a great intro for newbies and those with a bit more experience. This program makes it easy to form a habit instead of your interest waning after a few weeks. Jim Dooner is an excellent instructor – very clear and offers options to scale up or down depending on your circumstances.
I signed up to the program to see if it could help with reducing pain from Mortons Neuroma. 5 weeks through the 12 week programme and starting to see some noticeable improvement in my foot mobility and signs of some actual movement in toes that previously seemed like they were born not to move! The Mortons Neuroma seems to be easing slowly. The program is super easy to follow and has built up steadily over the 5 weeks so far. Also loving the positivity from Jim and the team during the training and lessons!
