from 1527 reviewsFor me the access to freedom in bigger ranges of motion and the rotational/spiral access that TFC PLAYfulness facilitates is unmatched and absolutely my biggest takeaway!
I was very sceptical that these few really rudimentary pieces of equipment could do much to improve my poor balance, always painful, achy feet and general all over foot strength. Well I’m thrilled to report that my feet don’t feel like mine anymore!! They’re flexible, pain free and seem to be much stronger. Balance is getting better by the day so I can highly recommended Solemate with the caveat that you forgave to be patient and persevere daily. Expect some initial discomfort but this goes away if you use the equipment every day and as often as possible. Very satisfied!
What an amazing weekend! Great to connect with Jim and Mac, and like minded trainers, coaches, yoga and pilates teachers, massage therapists and more! There is a huge opportunity to improve our balance and increase performance and longevity. By emphasising the importance of play and games during the journey, the course doubled up as a happiness/mental health workshop. Crucial knowledge and practicals for everyone! Truth Fun Connection. Thank you Jim and Mac
Good quality and arrived very fast
I signed up for the SoleMate Guide certification after dipping my toe into the Explorer programme totally inspired by what I think is a superbly designed and nifty piece of kit for integrating balance and linking the foot to the hip. I was also looking to expand my foot knowledge and wanted a fresh approach to training that was accessible to share with clients. Having attended many professional trainings I was wary of yet another intense CPD weekend that once complete you get a digital certificate and that's it. This is a completely different experience! I feel like I've left with a new network of likeminded and inspiring practitioners all sharing a passion for movement from the ground up, access to expertise that I can continue to learn from and feel supported by and a path forward towards health care away from just focussing on disease care. The thought that has gone into this programme is truly inspiring, grounded in solid evidence with progressions and regressions so it's highly adaptable for different populations and brings connection, community and fun to the forefront of movement education. It has given me the boost I needed. I am so happy to have found TFC, glad I signed up and really looking forward to sharing all of it with clients.
I enjoy 'playing' on my foot collective balance beams at random points throughout the day. They are laid out in my lounge room and every time I walk through the room, get up off the couch or take a phone call, I am up and balancing. It's fun and it works. My feet are significantly stronger & so is my balance.
Surrounded by so many professionals this weekend, I couldn’t help but feel a touch of imposter syndrome. But instead of feeling out of place, I was welcomed and respected as someone bridging the gap between theory and practice in the world of barefoot footwear. It was truly an honour to be among functional podiatrists, physiotherapists, and movement teachers, all of whom are passionate advocates of minimal footwear. While I may not yet have their level of expertise, my goal is to deepen my understanding.
Learning about how footwear impacts our feet—and, by extension, our entire bodies—has been incredibly insightful. Although I’m absolutely exhausted, meeting this fantastic network of professionals has sparked some big plans for the future. I’m eager to continue nurturing the relationships I built over the weekend and am already looking forward to seeing everyone again.
I’ve also got my fingers crossed that Jim and Mack will consider running retreats in the future, so we can continue to gather and grow together even after completing the initial training. The course made me realise how much work I have to do on my own health and fitness, but being surrounded by like-minded folks has given me the motivation to take action.

I love everything about The Foot Collective. Their products are great, and the videos are super helpful. What a great bunch of people these guys are and I appreciate their passion and willingness to help people (including mysefl) with their feet.
If you're serious about changing yourself (and everyone else you know) into a better functioning being, then becoming part of the TFC Pro Membership is a no brainer. Not only are you doing the work on you, you're getting the in-depth knowledge and support to truly understand why this movement is so necessary.

WoWee, after playing on the Sole Mates for a couple of months, I'm super happy I jumped into the Guide weekend. I left with a big smile and a ton of new knowledge on how to level up and express new abilities with in play and helping other people on the Sole Mate journey!
The community TFC is creating is powerful with every person in attendance having great energy and smiles the whole weekend 🙏
100% recommend getting involved
Like all worthy things, time is required to see change and the resulting benefits when first tackling foot fitness. Fortunately everything about The Foot Collective makes the hard stuff simple with excellent products and all the guidance you need to make progress.
I loved that this certification gave me great information and tools that I can use both professionally and personally. I feel like I have a great understanding of how to make the most of the foot collective tools, concepts and values to benefit my clients in clinical sessions, one on one sessions and classes. Aside from the course itself being of huge value, the ongoing support and access to resources is fantastic.
Even before purchasing the sole mate kit I was seeing results with the free YouTube Foot collective videos. I’m 45 and because of my feet I stopped running, started wearing sneakers in every awake moment as if I didn’t it would hurt. Then started getting bakers cysts, knee pain in my joint waking up stairs, stopped climbing into kids bunks to say goodnight. Now, with a lot of incidental small exercises throughout the day, I’m back to running, climbing into kids bunks. Have introduced my family to my toe separators and toe exercises and they are all loving how it feels. And I can walk barefoot in my house again- not as much as I was yet barefoot, but getting there 😊 these guys are passionate, knowledgeable and supportive. Love the program.
I love my balance beam. Something about the effort to stay balanced relaxes me. It sits in my office between my desk and the door, so I balance my way in and balance my way out. I would not like it to be longer!
The toe separators are great as well as the exercise band. The resources available with guides and practices to improve feet health, add tremendous value to these simple but effective tools.
