from 3064 reviewsI’ve just completed The Foot Collective Guide training in Edinburgh and I’m leaving with happy feet and lots of new ideas! 🦶❤️
We worked a lot on foot exercises and balance and had great fun, while Jim and Codie demonstrated skills that made me question whether they are actually human! 😂
Best of all, I’m bringing home fresh inspiration for both my yoga classes and my patients as a physio. 🧘♀️🦶✨ One of the most important lessons: having fun during exercise makes a huge difference in improving compliance! 😊
Wicked course! Knew I loved the method and the people, but honestly had no idea what I was about to experience.
Finished up and love that I’ve got this string to my bow now 🏹
Codie and Jim are epic teachers, people and movers - so I feel privileged to have worked with them, but also to get their perspective on various aspects of the training.
Really excited to start guiding now!
I was somewhat aware of barefoot shoes and importance of the health of our feet but the foot collective workshop opened up the subject for me and showed how much further it can go.
It was great to learn about how it can impact our sensory awareness/movement. While also getting shown practical tools and ways to improve ourselves. Getting hand on with the equipment and even though I didn’t have a solemate, I ended up finding mine.
Pun intended.
It’s left me intrigued to explore this more especially as I’m working towards PT qualifications.
Thanks
Fiddly to put on but feels great to stretch the toes out. I think toes get a raw deal so it’s good to give them the TLC they need and deserve.
The guide course was really interesting. There’s lots to learn and absorb, and of course try!
Don’t worry about how good you are, the TFC team will meet you where you are. However, try to have done some practice before the course, as you will be able to get even more out of the course. It’s worth mentioning that you shouldn’t expect to leave the course as a TFC Guide or with a certificate. You will need to complete a post course physical test which demonstrates your balance through an array of movement challenges.
Is the course worth it? 100%
I attended the TFC Guide course last weekend and highly recommend it! I learnt so many new skills, drills and ways at looking at movement. Jim and Codie were fantastic instructors, incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and approachable!
What I loved most was the atmosphere within the group! There was a great sense of community, with plenty of laughs, some healthy competition, and everyone encouraging each other. It genuinely felt like the course catered for all levels!
I felt really supported by Jim and Codie throughout the weekend, and came away really excited to continue my progress.
I definitely recommend the TFC Guide course to anyone interested in feet, movement, balance, and the way they move!
Markus.
I've just finished a great weekend on the TFC guide certification training in Manchester with Jim and Codie. Useful theory and lots of practical time to explore and play on the Solemate as well as other elements that form the basis of the foot and body training to improve foot function.
It was good to connect with other like minded people on an enjoyable course, delivered well by Jim and Codie who are both clearly passionate about what they do which is infectious.
I now have a direction in which to focus my own training in order to get certified. Exciting times!
I’ve been following The Foot Collective (TFC) for a while and recommending their approach to my patients — some of whom have gone on to make huge improvements in their feet and symptoms. So it was brilliant to finally experience the course for myself.
I probably should have done a bit more homework beforehand (!) but actually getting stuck into the practical side of the course was hugely beneficial, eye-opening and, most of all, motivating.
Jim and Codie are absolute masters of what they teach. Their skill with their own feet has to be seen to be believed, but what impressed me just as much was the humility, passion and generosity with which they shared their knowledge. That combination is rare on courses with JEMS course (another amazing Aussie physio) being another standout exception for me.
It was fun, practical, inspiring and incredibly motivating. For any therapist wanting to help their patients take more ownership of their bodies and symptoms, there is so much to take away from this course.
And personally, I’ll definitely be taking more responsibility for where my own feet take me as I age!
Loved the course, it was a real privilege learning from TFC Masters, and can’t wait to start sharing and putting this knowledge into practice. 🦶👣
It feels really cool stretching my toes out and hopefully being able to ball soon
Very well made and feels great stretching my feet out on them. Keen to build up my foot strength and balance.
Yes will be using this more
I have used them before, just couldnt find them
Thank you Foot Collective for creating a brilliant program which walks you through each step of learning and practicing foot care and strengthening. It was easy to follow and provided brilliant content and videos.
Great for your feet and comfortable
As a physiotherapist with a long history of ankle instability, I was surprised by how much I had overlooked my own foot strength. The Foot Restoration Program gave me a completely new perspective on foot function, and the gradual progression worked beautifully alongside my ankle recovery. I feel stronger, more stable and much more aware of how my feet influence my movement.
